Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I embrace the important role athletics will play in enhancing my goals to become the best student possible. These goals would include being a quality student, being actively engaged in the community, and developing my mind, body, and spirit. I believe athletics would allow me to remain committed to a healthy lifestyle. In addition, I value a sense of being part of a team. Athletics will assist me in developing my leadership qualities and provide me an avenue to strengthen the quality and character of those around me. Being a student-athlete at the next level will enhance my qualities of being ethical, kind, honest, fair, and respectful in any relationship.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

In rowing, I have led several learn to rows and helped novice rowers at practice. I lead stretches and circuits at practice. Outside of rowing, being a part of National Honor Society has made me a leader to the rest of the high school by leading student senate meetings, leading new student orientations, and mentoring freshmen.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
