Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I've played basketball since age 5, golf since age 6, and lacrosse since age 8. It's fun for me. I like the challenge. I enjoy the activity, and being part of a team. It's very rewarding! The sisterhood of the team is always an awesome part of the experience. I enjoy the structure of working out, class and practice. And, my team will be my college family.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the field I have learned how to communicate with both defense and midfield in changing conditions. Playing with Flight 2020, I am midfield or defense, depending on the needs of the game. Leadership is good communication. When anyone scores a goal I make sure to acknowledge it, and keep motivation going. I also understand that leadership is owning everything I can do to help our team win, and adjusting for different game circumstances. Leadership is keeping your head in a tough game and staying focused. Off the field, I participate in class, and go to tutoring before school if I have trouble understanding a concept. I also organize study groups for classes.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Playing multiple sports keeps the fun in athletics for me. I've always loved sports, they are my outlet for stress. Golf, basketball and lacrosse all three offer different challenges for my brain and muscle groups. I also train in weightlifting and agility in the offseason to stay healthy. I believe strong is healthy. In the off season, I also like to fish, swim and read and do agility training.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Served as president of the freshman class in student government and am Vice President of the sophomore class. This is important to me because we play a big role in school spirit and advocate for the students. Student volunteer for NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Looking forward to serving all 4 years of high school. There I get to educate the public about our marine life in this area. This summer I have been an assistant coach for Cape Fear Lacrosse Girls program. Working with little girls and teaching them to play on the same fields I played on is very cool. I've had some great coaches through the years and it's like I am paying it forward for the little girls. Seeing them excited to be there, and excited about lacrosse is it's own reward for me. Inducted into Senior National Beta Club 11-17 and National Honor Society.
