Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

As a freshman in high school, I was probably the most unathletic volleyball player on the team. I moved from North Carolina to Virginia the summer prior my freshman year. In the fall my high school coaches gave me a tryout mid season. From my standpoint I definitely think they saw something in me. At the time I honestly did not know what, considering I was inexperienced and the only playing time I had was in junior high. From my freshman to my sophomore year I had improved so much. I was already playing with the big varsity players. To be recruited to play volleyball in college is such a dream of mine. Currently I am putting in so much time and effort to ensure that I can become the best player I can be. I am a team leader and a team player. My coaches from the past have told me that I bring so much energy onto the court when needed.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

During the high school season I have practice every single day, sometimes twice a day. On the off season I play club volleyball. My practice schedule changes to 3-4 times a week plus tournaments and on my days and times where I am free I do strength training and conditioning. As for my diet, I make sure to eat proteins and I have cut out the major fats and sugars in my diet.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
